Ferrying My Sleeping Self
Tonight I sat sketching and drew myself ferrying my sleeping self across to the monastery and the Castalian waters. I figure if I can just get her into those Castalian waters she will revive and I will awaken yet another creative self. We are carrying plenty of gold to pay the guardian of the springs.

THIS REMINDED ME OF SOMETHING I USE TO SUFFER FROM CALLED SLEEP PARALYSIS. IT WAS SO BAD I REFUSED TO GO TO BED AND I ACTUALLY SUFFERED FROM SLEEP DERPRIVATION SYMPTOMS ( THIS STARTED WHEN I WAS 12 AND LASTED ALMOST A YEAR)
THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS WICKED WEIRD! WHY DO I MENTION IT? BECAUSE I'VE BEEN WAY TO QUIET AND THIS IS MORBID...PLUS YOU LIKE ME THIS WAY ;-)

HERE'S THE DEFINITION I PULLED FROM WIKIPEDIA.COM
Sleep paralysis is a condition
characterized by paralysis of the body shortly after waking up (known as hypnopompic paralysis) or, less often, shortly before falling asleep (known as hypnagogic paralysis). Physiologically, it is closely related to the normal paralysis that occurs during REM sleep, also known as REM atonia.
IN OTHER WORDS YOU WAKE UP AND CAN'T MOVE ...YOU CAN'T EVEN BLINK. I HAVEN'T SUFFERED FROM THIS IN YEARS AND I HOPE I NEVER DO AGAIN!
These pics are priceless. A raven has even dropped by to have a look:-)
Sleeping paralysis reminds me of the Fever Bark poem I wrote last year Anita Marie.
So glad you are finding my drawings evoke so many thoughts. This is a real compliment darling.
And the raven is a perfect guide to be with us. Thank you so much Monika.
Cheers Heather.
